center part front hair line to nape. apply protective creme all the way around hairline. 

mix color formula for the scalp. 

you have to mix a higher volume for the mid lengths and ends. put formula on the scalp then outline the back right quadrant. 

only apply to scalp for now. take diagonal subsections starting from neck. apply a lot of formula toward the scalp. 

working up turn the subsections a little as you get toward the ear. repeat left quadrant. 

move to front right quadrant. 

do the same except this time take vertical subs instead of horizontal. repeat process in the front left quadrant. then now you mix formula 2 using the next highest volume developer to be applied. start in back right quadrant ind the first subsection using your tail comb then apply the formula starting from the mid lengths to the ends overlapping previously applied color. repeat process in all quadrants. go back right, back left, to front right to front left. use a towel to wipe off color from a subsection to check for balance.
