mix the color formulas you will be using. 

section the hair into 6 basic sections. 

start in section 1 in the back right. 

take a diagonal subsection. 

the amount of subsection you are using will depend on desired look. place a foil underneath subsection the first subsection. 

stiffen the edge of the foil sheet. use the end of a tail comb to weave in and out along the surface of the subsection. place the edge of the foil against the scalp T to the section in the part. the wooven hair you are coloring (is the hair you just wove out of the sub) should be on top of the foil and the rest of the sub section underneath.place your hand under the foil wherever your brush is and apply product to the hair starting at the midlengths and brush formula down to the ends. 

then come back to the midlengths and apply formula toward the scalp. stay at least 1/16'' away from the edge of the tin foil. crease and fold the foil in half. then fold again. leaving foil about 1/2'' from the top. 

continue applying foils up the section and repeat in section 2.. 

after combing the two subsections you are now left with a triangular shaped section in the middle of them. 

take horizontal sub sections across the triangle and alternate formulas ( if there are multiple formulas being used) in foil packets. move to the front right lower section. repeat process used in 1+2. leave some hair free along the hairline. weave hightlights in foil packets. 

continue taking diagonal subsections. the section will narrow as you reach the point of distribution. repeat process in front lower section. by leaving last subsection free in 3 and 4 a V is shaped. clip it away for now. this forms the lower half of a diamond. you safe this section for last. repeat steps in sections 5+6. now all is left is the diamond and you take diagonal subsections. weave highlights. repeat this provess all the way across the diamond. bend the foils so they arent in the guests face
