Farming In Mesopotamia

Early Mesopotamian farmers grew many different crops. Some of the crops that they grew were wheat, barley, beans, onions, lettuce, cucumbers, and spice plants. Sometimes farmers planted their crops next to canal banks because crops and trees needed enough water to grow. Spring was the time when the rivers flooded their banks and fall was the time when they were at the lowest.
