Plain Folks

This example of Plain Folks from US magazine shows that stars who are always in the limelight are really just like normal people. On the page, you can see that stars are paying for parking, getting take-out food, and going to amusements parks with their kids, which is what everyday people do often. The intended audience in the article are normal people who are not rich and famous because they want to relate to them and gain their admiration and support. This is also an example of pathos because they are persuading people that they are likeable and their actions are virtuous by relating to the people, their targeted audience.
