Proportion

Proportion fashion wise relates to the scale outfits clothing pieces to each other and the body. Proportion can be equal or unequal. If you wear a tunic over jeans it would be unequal because the tunic would hang over the jeans. Greeks believed the ratios most pleasing to the eyes were 2:3, 3:5 and 5:8.

The outfit to the left would be unequal because of the ratio of the bottom to the top and the amount on the top. These are common now.

The outfit to the right is a equal outfit because it they meet at middle and the proportion of bottom to top is equal.
