George Cuvier

George Cuvier was France's leading naturalist and the head of paleontology and comparative anatomy. Cuvier was a devoted Christian that believed that all living things were created by God. He attempted to disprove the idea of evolution. he studied fossils and separated living things into various branches( vertebrates-backbones animals, and others). His fossil theories and discoveries are still used by scientist today.
