1. I think artists were able to conceptualize the same theme throughout time because food is something that people see everyday and is a common object to draw.

2. The values and concerns of particular societies are reflected in the work because the type of food that is draw and the setting it is in is different during various different time periods.

3. Particular themes, like food, transcend time and are visualized in every age because food, for example, has lots of little details that are delicate, difficult to draw and show an artists skill.
