- side part hair and create an L in the part
- wet hair evenly and distribute setting lotion
- create a "c" shape in the front of the hair bringing it slightly onto the face
- hold the wave in place, drag large teeth of the comb, press the comb into the ridge of the hair and slightly lift to create the ridges and the troughs
- make sure the comb is flat against the head
- repeat procedure on the other side
- set under a hood drier
