Vedas

During the Vedas, the Aryans were warriors.

They are considered the earliest literary record.
It is a collection of hymns, charts, ritual instructions, and other religious teachings.
The priest memorized all of it.

Humans didn't write the Vedas, but it was handed down through generations.
It was passed down by telling each other it, not by a book.
They were taught by god to the sages or they were taught by seers of the hymns.

The Vedas guided are direction of religious for a long time. They will always be the most comprehensive and universal of all ancient scriptures.
