- Red rain was falling that day
- Even though it was a bad omen the Greeks were still happy because of their victory
-they put on their war gear and met the Trojans in battle
-The Greeks drove the Trojans back to the gates of the city
-Hector got really mad and wanted to drive the Greeks back to the ships, but Odysseus and Diomedes stood against him
-Paris shoot an arrow at Diomedes' foot and pinned it to the ground and Odysseis got him back on a chariot
-Odysseis was the only leader left in the center battle field
-Odysseis got speared and Ajax took Odysseis place in battle
-Paris shoot the Greek healer, Machoan, who had to go to Nestor's tent to be healed
- Achilles had been watching the fight on his ship
-When he saw Machoan was wounded he sent Patroclus to see if he was dead
-Nestor told Patroclus to go tell Achilles if he didn't fight he should send his Myrmidons out with someone els
-Patroclus saw another warrior who was wounded and helped him
