Chapter 14
- Odysseus planned to go steal the luck of Troy or palladium, which is thought to be Athene's child that fell from the heavens
-Odysseus went to get the king of Delos' daughters who could turn water into wine, stones into bread, and mud into olive oil
-A begger showed up at the Greek camp
-The begger Diomedes' food and told Diomedes a story
- Diomedes liked his story and allowed him to lay on his mat for sleeping
-The begger caused trouble and fights in the Greek camp by telling false tales about the Greeks families
-He stole Nestor's cup and got whipped to Troy
- Helen brought him in because he was treated badly by the Greeks
-Helen gave the begger fresh clothes and a hot bath for washing himself
- Helen found out it was Odysseus
- she told him Paris went to get the Amazons
- Odysseus promised her she would be safe when the Greeks came and took over Troy and he would not tell the Greeks the Amazons are coming
- Helen gave him a golden vial of a sleep potion and Odysseus put back on his begger clothes and left
- Odysseus pretended to fall asleep in Athene's temple
- a priestess came and Odysseus left the vial out were she could see
- She drank the vial and fell into a deep sleep
- Odysseus took the luck of Troy and went back to the Greek camp
- The Greeks found out it was him and celebrated when they found out he had the palladium
- The Trojans lost faith and hope when they found out their luck of Troy was stolen
