Chapter ll
-Antilochus, Nestor's son, went to go tell Achilles that Patroclus is dead, hoping to bring Achilles back to the battle
-Achilles is mad
-Thetis came to comfort Achilles, and told him not to battle because without armor he would die
-she promised would make Hephaestus make the best armor any mortal has seen
-The Trojans wanted to go back in the walls of Troy because they were scared of Achilles, but Hector wanted to meet Achilles on the battle field
-When Thetis gave Achilles the armor, he wanted to go fight but Odysseus tells him he should make peace with Agamemmon
-Achilles accepted the gifts Agamemmon offered before
-Achilles killed many Trojans and pushed them to the River and then to Troy's walls
-Hector was standing at the gates ready to face Achilles
-Hector's courage faded when he saw Achilles rushing at him, so he ran three times around the castle
-Hector's courage returned and faced Achilles
-Eventually Achilles had one spear and Hector had none
-Hector sprang at Achilles to die with honor
- Achilles stabbed him right throw the neck
-Hector's last words were to give him to his father and that his father would give him lots of gold
- Achilles would not give him to his father
-Hector told Achilles that he would die at the same gate by his brother Paris, and then died
- Achilles cut his ankles and dragged him back to the Greek camp
