MOHENJO-DARO
HARAPPA
MAIN CITIES OF THE INDUS RIVER VALLEY
2600 to 1700 BCE
2600 and 1900 BCE
Both Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro shared many similarities. These two main cities developed around the same time as ancient Egypt in the Indus River Valley. The roads of each cities were designed in an organized grid pattern and houses had plumbing. The cities were well planned with wide streets, public and private wells, drains, bathing platforms and reservoirs.
