Abraham Lincoln was the President during the Civil war. He went to school for less than a year. He taught himself law in Springfield which is also where he practiced law and politics.

He was a one term member of congress in the 1840's and a self educated legislator during the 1830's. He also promoted fast modernization economy, through banks, canals, and railroads to encourage factory buildings.

Some Of Abraham Lincoln's Weaknesses were that he couldn't control his cabinet members because he had very little experience in governments and was slow to act. Although, He was a very strong leader with principles and Charisma.

He fought for the North During the Civil War as the President of The United States of America. He learned to fight with little help.

David Farragut was a man in the Navy who was adopted by a family friend to train for the navy. He was originally from Tennessee.

Farragut received his first Navy position at age 19 and commanded his first vessel at 12.

He was in the Navy and spent his whole life their.

He learned to fight from his family friend and led key attacks on the Southern ports of Vicksburg and New Orleans. He was from the South but when the war broke out he moved to the North.
