Denitrification
A process in the nitrogen cycle where a nitrogen compound is pulled apart and nitrogen gas is left alone. The nitrogen gas then returns to the atmosphere.
Nitrification
When nitrogen molecules combine with other elements they form nitrogen compounds these compounds are used to make proteins for plants and animals. This process is called nitrification.
Decomposers
Decomposers play a huge part in the nitrogen cycle. Without decomposers the nitrogen cycle would not be able to continue on. The decomposers break down the dead plants and animals. Allowing the nitrogen to return to the soil. As well as releasing it back into the air.
