Indus River Valley Civilization

Facts

Food-
Some foods that were popular were wheat bread, barley, peas, melons, and fish that they caught with actual fish hooks!
Transportation-
Some people used camels, oxen, and elephants. Others traveled by carts that had wooden wheels or by ships that sailed through the Arabian Sea.
Art-
There were many people that were talented at making art and creative things. Some things they made would be pottery, weaving, and metal working. They were very good at making small detail and good quality pieces of art.

The Indus River Valley existed from 2,500 BCE to about 1500 BCE.
The two major cities were Harappa and Mohenjo- Daro.
Some accomplishments were:
-The roads were a grid pattern
- There was a Temple in each city.
- granaries were built and houses were made of brick
- The houses had plumbing and the city's had sewers.
- They grew Cotton and weaves it into clothing
- They even developed a form of writing.
