Buddhism was founded in India and it made its way across Asia into Korea and China. The founder of Buddhism was Siddhartha Gautama. He discovered the misery of his people and was very upset. He then meditated for 49 days to find a solution and in that time he became the Emlighted one or the Buddha. Buddhist believe in meditation and is the key to enlightenment. They do not believe in the existence of gods or rituals and traditions. The wheel represents the teachings of the Buddha. It also represents the endless cycle of rebirth.
