Hinduism was founded in India.
It as brought to the Indus River Valley 3,500 years ago by the Aryans.
There are many individual gods but they are all a part of of Brahman.
The Vedas is the holy text and is the root of all Hindu beliefs. It holds prayers, chants, and hymns.
Hindus stress non violence.
They also don't eat beef because cows are sacred.
They believe you are reborn in the process called Reincarnation.

Hinduism and the Caste System

The Caste System is a ranking of your social status.
If you practice your religious beliefs then you will be reborn into a higher Caste. Brahmin, priests, Kshatryia, and warriors are toward the top of the ranking. Towards the bottom would be the commoners, servants, and the untouchables. Also you are reborn in a higher Caste if you are non violent and do not cause any crime.
