Native Americans in movies are often portrayed as wise and mysterious, or wild and willing to kill the "white man".
Many of these movies are set in a time where the Native Americans were really like that. They kept to themselves and they lived amongst one another, until the Europeans came to settle on their land. But it wasn't just the Europeans they often had conflicts with. Many of the tribes would fight and wage war against each other.
