In Music

The 2013 American Music Awards showed to be fairly decent and entertaining with Pitbull as the new host. However, some found it odd that a Latino was hosting an American show, and many took to Twitter to rudely comment on it. But it was not just Pitbull's hosting that they ranted on about. Others wrote about Jennifer Lopez's tribute performace and her ex-husband's (Marc Anthony) win for "Favorite Latin Music Artist". They complained about how it was an American show, yet Latinos were there hosting, performing, and even winning.
First, all three of these artists were born in America.
Second, their music is played in America.
Third, there are plenty of other foreign musicians and singers who win these kinds of awards (Britain's One Direction, Canada's Justin Bieber, etc.).
