Many people today feel that the talent of African Americans (as far as acting goes) is being overshadowed during Academy Award season by white actors.
Understand that the Academy does not look at one's color. They look at one's presence on-screen and one's talent (and with so many great actors and actresses today, it's hard to pick and choose).
