Steps:

1.Section hair into four quadrants.

2.Apply protective cream to theguest’s skin along the hairline perimeter.

3. Mix formula for correct color and outline the back right quadrant along the hairline and parts. Lift the hair up to allow easy access and application behind the ear and along the hairline.

4. Begin taking diagonal subsections about 1/4" wide and begin applying color to scalp and mid lengths. You should have assessed the porosity of hair to decide if color should be pulled through to hair ends.

Virgin Darker Application

Steps (cont):

5. Continue taking diagonal

subsections. Working upward,

pivot the subsections slightly to-

ward the ear so you will eventually finish with a vertical subsection at the end of the quadrant.

6. Repeat steps of outlining each quadrant and taking subsections continuing with back left, then moving to top right and then top left. Subsections on the top should be vertical from ear to part.

7. Allow color the appropriate processing time then complete a strand test before washing up t he product.
