Half Round Brush ( DENMAN) / PADDLE BRUSH STYLING
Steps:
1. Dry hair about 80-90% dry. Section top of the head with the desired part, then connect to center part beginning at the crown and continuing down the center to the nape. Use brush to subsection parallel, to perimeter following the direction of the cut. (Isolate remaining hair)
2. Stand to the left of the section you are styling. Place the pins closest to the head at the part. Rotate your wrist 180 degrees grabbing until the opposite side of the pins are at the part. Rotate wrist back accumulating all of the hair along the way. The pad of the brush should now be facing up (see photos 1-3 for reference). This will "lock the hair."
3. Hold the blow dryer (with nozzle) directly above the brush. Move the brush and blow dryer consistently down the shaft releasing the hair before it gets to the ends to avoid drying the ends. Continue to lock the hair and dry up until the ends for the entire section (making sure ends remain damp).
4. Change your body position so you are directly behind the hair. Beginning at mid shaft, elevate the hair about 45 degrees while moving the brush and driver to the ends slowly bringing the hair to 0 degrees elevation. Use your wrist to rotate the brush several times under creating a bevel.
5. Continue steps 2-4 until the entire head is complete.
NOTE: you can do this with a DENMAN or paddle brush.
