Food webs are food chains that are linked together. Food webs show how producers and consumers are related.

Food webs can tell us about the competition in our environment.

If one population is affected many others can be affected.

In an energy pyramid producers are always at the bottom. Consumers only get ten percent of ten energy. This is why they must eat multiple times. Producers store the rest of the energy they get from the Sun. They store the extra energy in their roots and stems.
