CELLULAR LEVEL
• ORGANELLES are the basic components of CELLS, which all vary in size and shape
TISSUE LEVEL
• TISSUES are groups of similar CELLS that share a common function
• epithelium, muscle, connective, and nervous tissue found in humans
ORGAN LEVEL
• ORGANS are structures composed of at least two types of TISSSUES, although four types is more common
• complex functions become possible at this level
ORGAN SYSTEM
• A group of ORGANS work together to accomplish a common purpose
• the sum of all structural levels work together to make the living human being
