ANATOMICAL TERMS
The head is superior to the abdomens.
The navel is inferior to the chin.
The breastbone is interior to the spine.
The heart is posterior to the breastbone.
The heart is medial to the arm.
The arms are lateral to the chest.
The collarbone is intermediate between the breastbone and the shoulder.

The elbow is proximal to the wrist.
The knee is distal to the thigh.
The skin is superficial to the skeletal muscles.
The lungs are deep to the skin.
Axial part: makes up the main axis of our body
Appendicular part: consists of limbs
Saggital plane: divides body into left and right
Median plane: lies in the middle
Frontal plane: lies vertically
Transverse plane: runs horizontally from right to left
Oblique sections: cuts made between horizontal and vertical planes diagonally
