The role of the glycocalyx is to identify and then communicate with other cells.
What is MITOCHONDRIA?
Mitochondria are threadlike membranous organelles that squirm, elongate, and change shape extremely frequently.
They provide most of the power and ATP in a cell.
Mitochondria have an internal and external membrane. The internal fold forward forming shelf-like christae, which lead to the matrix, the gel- like substance inside. The external membrane is smooth and featureless.
