ENDOCRINE SYSTEM DISRUPTORS
Stay away from
Endocrine System Disruptors:
• Nail Polish, body lotion and deodorant– most have chemicals from the phthalate family (DBP, DEHP). These are used to make products soft and malleable.
Replace with melaleuca, purify for deodorant – use coconut oil for body lotion, immortelle for face. Find natural nail polish and health stores.
• Toothpaste, shampoo, bath salts and body/shower gel – toss if label says sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS ) or sodium lauryl ether sulfate (SLES). These are added as agents and emulsifiers.
Replace with On Guard
Toothpaste or make own with baking soda and peppermint essential oil.
• Conditioner, foundation, concealer, facial mask and skin cream – toss if the label lists parabens including methyl, propyl, butyl and ethyl. These are used as germicides and preservatives.
Replace with coconut oils, essential oils, lemon for shiny hair, Immortelle or Frankincense oils for face.
• Soap, hairspray, eyeliner, talc and shaving cream – toss if they have chemicals from the anolamine family (DEA, TEA, MEA). These chemicals are used as emulsifiers, pH adjusters, preservatives and foaming agents.
Replace with natural alternatives and make own
• Petroleum– toss if lists petrolatum. Used as a moisturizer.
Replace with coconut oil, non petroleum products – they make an actual non petroleum gel that you can get.
