Abolition/ Emancipation Reform
The abolition reform was the call to outlaw slavery. Emancipation is the freeing of slaves with no payment to slaveholders. The Africans asked to be treated as well as foreigners were. Abolition was fueled by preachers like Charles G. Finney. He believed slavery was a sin. The biggest white abolitionist was William Lloyd Garrison.
