Conclusion

The Legacy of Ancient India

India, one of the greatest eras in history, has greatly contributed to the world known today. The Indus Valley Civilization paved the way for future empires near the Indus River and created the first urban cities. Without the Aryans and their distinct cultures shown through the text of the Vedas, the religions of Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism wouldn't exist. The strong Gupta and Maurya dynasties affected other major empires by their trade, and they showed the world that a peaceful reign could be just as prosperous and successful as that of a martial rule. Crucial discoveries like the decimal system and the vaccination of smallpox also wouldn't have been developed until much, much later.

By combining the culture and achievements all throughout the Indus Valley and the Indian subcontinent, India indeed has had an incredible history, and its mark on the world will never fade.
