Downfall of the Indus Civilizatuon
Although it is not exactly known how the Indus Civilization was destroyed, excavations have shown that between 1800 BCE and 1700 BCE, barbaric tribes possibly invaded or extreme climate conditions, such as a lack of summer monsoons and droughts, drove out people. Also, some archeologists believe that citizens overused natural resources and that the fertile soil became barren. Whatever the case was, cities were no longer built with the care and precision they had before, broken bricks were used for construction, and the proper sewage system began to break down. By 1300 BCE, the whole civilization was entirely deserted and forgotten, and whatever evidence that shows its cause for abandonment was lost.
