High, Mid and Low EQ
1. High EQ - Cut at the high 12 kHz section of audio frequency. Use this to add sizzle to things like cymbals or edge to many band instruments. Turn it down to reduce sibilance or tape hiss.
2. High Mid EQ - Cut at the 2.5 kHz most sounds are found in this frequency for a multitude of instruments and female vocalist in particular.
3. Low Mid EQ - Cut at the 400 Hz this includes the male vocal range and the fundamentals of some lower frequency instruments (guitar, lower brass).
4. Low EQ - Cut below 80 Hz this is where you get the punch in the bass and drums.
5. Boost EQ - Adds dB to the EQ that it is a part of. NOTE: EQ’s without a boost will add a dB boost to a small extent.
6. EQ IN / OUT - If pressed the EQ is used in the output, but if depressed no EQ knobs will be used in the output FOH mix
