Mammals
Mammals live in every habitat around the globe. All mammals have hair, mammary glands, a lower jaw that connects to the skull, and at some point in its life it has baby teeth and adult teeth. Mammals are warm-blooded which means they rely on homeostasis to keep their body temperature up. Mammals also have four chambered hearts. Two examples of scientific names are
Balaenoptera musculus and
Canis lupus italicus. There are approximately 5,500 different species of mammals in the world.
These are all different species of mammals.
