Mary C. Vaughan
Mary was passionate about the use of alcohol. She spoke at a temperance meeting in 1852, sharing the bad things about alcohol. She also talked about how the use of all the alcohol had an effect on wife's of all these drunk men.
Lyman Beecher
Lyman was a minister from Connecticut who started lecturing about the use of liquor. The American Temperance Society was formed a year after he started speaking.
