The Second Great Awakening

The Second Great Awakening was a Protestant revival movement that started in the 1790's. By the 1820's membership grew rapidly and by the 1840's it was past its peak. During this awakening people started to think more equally of all people such as woman, African Americans , and everyone else who was considered a minority.
