A.) pH is the measure of relative acidity or alkalinity of a solution. The normal pH level of human blood is 7. It's neither an acid nor a base. It is neutral.
B.) Acidosis is a condition of acidity or low pH of the blood; high hydrogen ion concentration. Severe acidosis is problematic because if blood pH varies from the range of 7.35 to 7.45 by a few tenths of a unit, it can be fatal.

Enzymes keep metabolic pathways flowing. Sometimes a enzyme requires a cofactor/coenzyme(metal ion or organic molecule) in order for enzyme activity to occur. Each enzyme is chemically specific. Some can control only one chemical reaction while others can bind with similar molecules and regulate a small group of related reactions. Enzymes can increase the speed of reaction.
A.) In this case, the antibiotics can influence the chemical reactions controlled by enzymes by speeding up the healing process, getting rid of the bacteria, and building their immunity back up.
B.) The anticipated effect on the bacteria is to eliminate and get rid off any "bad", harmful bacteria that is affecting the person taking the antibiotic. The antibiotic is intended to help the person build back a strong immunity to the "bad" bacteria. One that will form more "good" bacteria to fight off any of the "bad"bacteria.
