Abolition is the outlaw of slavery that is fueled by preachers. The emancipation is the freeing of slaves. One abolitionist was named William Lloyd Garrison. He was the most famous in the religious reform movements and he started his own paper called The Liberator, which he created to display the message of freeing slaves without paying slave holders. Most people (whites) didn't like him and opposed him because he wanted everything they didn't. But the black population all supported him and helped him free blacks.
