RIOTS

The riots in Michigan were pretty rough and violent and scary. Many fights and conflicts broke out between blacks and whites in a Detroit area. Stupid rumors were being spread that the whites threw a black woman and black baby off a bridge and of course a fight broke out. Also other nasty rumors spread out amongst the blacks saying a black man raped a white woman. 25 blacks died and 9 whites died and 700 were wounded. In Illinois the fights that broke out to the cause of rumors that a black man murdered a white man which wasn't true. The damage done by disgusting rumors was 40 black homes were burned down. There were rumors about death shots and how black men just shot white men which again was a false accusation. In the Illinois riot, 2 blacks were dead and so were 5 whites. The riot in Oklahoma there was this huge blowup story about a white girl getting assaulted by a black man. The damage cost was $1.5 million and the district of Greenwood was burned and destroyed. 26 blacks died and 13 whites died. ( Realize that more blacks died than most whites did.) In Arkansas there were random gunshots outside of a church where the union memebers were having a meeting. 25 black people were killed and 5 whites. In Louisana there was a dispute between a black man and three white policemen. The black guy shot a gunshot at the police so did the police back. The black guy tried to run away but was surrounded by a lot of white men and he shot 27 of them and killed 7 of them. 12 blacks died and 7 whites died. The trigger for the Florida riot was a white woman proclaimed that a black man had attacked her. There was damage done to Rosewood which were homes to black families. They houses were torched down by white poeple. 26 blacks died and 2 whites died. In Georgia there was a sour political campaign fight about rapes of black men. They fought long about it and soon or later 10 blacks passed away, 2 whites died and 200 were seriously wounded badly. In North Carolina was another false accusation of allegedly reported attacks of black men on white women. There was damage done to the office of a black man was burned down. 9 blacks died and the death toll was 50-100 blacks. Washington D.C. Had a certain amount of crime that was being reported of course black men raping women. In general, 39 people died and 150 were injured.
