Transportation

Transportation in Texas were mainly railroads and streetcars. There were seperate cars and buses for the negroes and for the whites. The white poeples' buses were SO much nicer and cleaner. The negroes' buses, on the other hand, was just dirty and not nice to sit in. This situation was same for railroads. When they would ride trains it was totally different for both races. The white one was much nicer while the black one was in terrible condition. In Kentucky, there were coaches and they had seperate rides for the colored and for the white. White people were their first choice and black people would be just left back in the dust, not wanted to be driven around. In Maryland, they also had railroads such as Texas and it was the same. Mostly in every part of town or state, the treating of blacks and whites are similar. The waiting room for the trains for the blacks was so dirty and packed. The white's waiting room was super clean and fresh. North Carolina had steamboats for another transportation. They mixed the colors when riding but still didn't really care about the blacks.
