T.R. Davison

T.R. Davidson was born in York, South Carolina on March 16, 1926. While he was growing up, he knew about Jim Crow very well. When he was in 5th grade! Davidson had a job at the Ritz Variety Store. The owner of the store encouraged T.R. to do well in school and be the best he can be. Just because he was black, he sometimes lost hope in his dream of airplane building and flying. His parents reminded him that since he's a black boy he won't be able to fly and airplane. But that made Davidson more interested and determined. The message Davidson wanted to portray was if you have a dream, go for it, and don't let anything or anyone stop you.
