W.E.B Du Bois

W.E.B Du Bois was born in Masachusetts and graduated from Fisk University in 1888. He taught in a black school and published his experiences there. Du Bois received a Ph.D from Harvard University and was one of the few blacks to graduate from there. He taught sociology at Atlanta University and hoped teaching this could help get rid of segregation. Many black people who could not speak for themselves, Du Bois was kind of like their voice. He fought for his rights and wasn't going to let anybody take them away.
