In 1848, Elizabeth Cady Santon and Lucretia held the women's rights convention, Seneca Falls which was held in New York. They composed an agenda and detailed grievances. Stanton used the Declaration of Independence to model the "Declaration of Sentiments." It talked about women's rights and how men and women should be treated equally.
