Sarah Grimke- She ran a school for girls with her sister, Angelina. In 1838, they complained in "Letters on the Equality of the Sexes" and the Condition of Woman.
Emma Willard- In 1821, she opened one of the nation's hardest schools for girls in Troy, New York. It became a model for a new type of women's schools.
Mary Lyon- In 1837, she found another important school to better women's education. It was called Mount Holyoke Female Seminary in South Hadley, Massachusetts.
