Susan Miller was a female mill worker who worked in textile mills in Lowell, Massachusetts. She worked there in order to save her family's farm. About 50 years ago, girls like Susan were not allowed to work outside the home. She allowed women's roles to be expanded and allowed changes to occur for the better.
