Diagonal Short Layer

Usually for mid length to short hair.

Create a center part, create sections 5 and 6 and clip away.

Start on the right, make 1/2" diagonal subsection in front of ear 

Using fine teeth, comb hair T to the section, hold at 90 deg. cut to desired length using primary scissors position, with fingers parallel to the parting/subsection.

Cut top to bottom

Take some of the guide and another 1/2" diagonal subsection, hold at 90 deg. cut to guide

Where there is no guide below ear, just continue line. 

Once you reach the center, cross check the right side, then repeat steps on the left.

Drop 5 and 6, create safety section

To connect the hair above the parietal ridge, make a center part from hairline to the crown and then an ear to ear parting. Comb hair in the crown 

Create 1" wide center subsection behind the ear parting and take some of the cut hair underneath as a guide. Using comb elevation from the ear to ear parting.

Move to the right using the two pie shaped sections.

Then create 2 rectangle subsections to cut to.

Repeat process on the left. 

Layer the top 

Cross check the cut
