Chignon

With dry hair, add hair spray, curl if need to add volume.

Create ear to ear part, clip front section away.

Brush hair into ponytail just below occipital bone. Make sure hair is smooth all around.

Back comb hair on underside of ponytail, apply hair spray.

Use styling comb to shape hair with palm underside to support and shape. 

Place 2 bobby pins on opposite sides of small rubber band.

Slide one pin into side of hair 1 inch above existing band, pull band over hair and secure other bobby pin on opposite side facing inward to create "seam" which hides ponytail.

Release rest of ponytail, gather ends, curl ends and pin under base to hide.

Finish by pulling sides of chignon to head and secure with hair pins.

Style front to create desired style. 

Variation: Bow Chignon

Wrap base of ponytail with small strand of hair from underneath and pin.

Split ponytail in 2 and rotate strands to each side instead of under.

Pull piece of hair out of top of ponytail and wrap vertically between 2 sides.

Pin middle and each half of bow with pins to secure.
