Patterns for Layering the Top of the Head

Horizontal: medium weight in left and right parietal. Minimal weight in center of head. Creates square shape.


Vertical: medium weight in right and left parietal areas. Follows the head shape.


Diagonal: maximum weight above left parietal, minimal weight above right parietal.


Concave: maximum weight in both right and left parietal. Minimal weight at center or side part.


Convex: minimal weight in both right and left parietal. Maximum weight at center or side part.


Procedure: stand on right side, cut vertical 1" center guide to back of crown cutting from front to back. Guide position varies based on desired pattern.

Stand behind client

Make 1/2 to 1" subsection behind front perimeter 

Pick up part of center guide and hold at 90 deg. 

Cut to guide

Repeat on left side

Cross check opposite way of pattern it was cut
