Sarah and Angelina Grimke
Sarah and Angelina, daughters of a South Carolina slaveholder, spoke boldly for abolition. Angelina published "An Appeal to Christian Women of the South," which said women should overthrow the horrible system of inequality and cruelty. They got women to raise money, donate books, and sign petitions to overcome this corrupt system. Their abolition movement sparked the Women's Rights Movement.
