Leaders in the Education Reform

The leader of the education reform was Horace Mann. He was from Massachusetts. He decided to start preparing children to be good citizens. In 1837 he became the first secretary of the Massachusetts Board of Education. Mann established teacher training programs and instituted curriculum reforms
