Post Operative Diet

Week 2

Puréed Meal Plan

The consistency of these foods are smooth and require no chewing. Food textures allowed are: oatmeal, pudding, baby food, puréed soups, mashed banana, applesauce, mashed potatoes, yogurt, and blended foods.

At this stage, you begin eating DRY MEALS. Dry meals mean that you will not be drinking liquids with your food anymore. Stop drinking fluids 15-30 minutes before a meal and 45 minutes after a meal.

Your meal planning will change as well. You should now only drink two protein drinks and add two puréed meals each day. Puréed meal sizes should be 1/2 to 3/4 cup portion sizes. Protein drinks should be 8-12oz each.
